It takes some years on the job before a firefighter gets "broken in" on a truck.  It's a period of learning how to drive and operate the functions of the truck before ready to take charge of it a an emergency scene.  Yesterday the crews were out at Black River Landing flowing water from the Tower basket and flying the aerial ladder to give training experience to the younger firefighters.
